Everyday Minerals

I think I've mentioned several times that I am not much of an online shopper. But I have tried it twice after being recommended by Sesame of Viva Woman. I may not know her personally but I've been following her skincare and make up reviews and also her beauty tips. And I find her reviews, honest and informative. I also like that she finds a lot of site that supports PayPal payments and I stick to payments via PayPal to restrict my online spending.

Well my shopping experience at Everyday Minerals was due to Sesame's tip that you can order a free sample while paying minimal shipping cost. I am always open to free stuff :) So I make the order and wait expectantly. After 3 weeks and no sign of a package, I decided to email the site's customer service. Then I forgot all about both the order and the complaint.

3 weeks ago, the package arrives and I was happy but then a week ago I got a refund in my PayPal account and it was the shipping costs charged by Everyday Minerals. I wrote to them highlighting that I have actually received the items and if a mistake has been made, I would gladly make the payment again.

This was the reply I got:-

Hi Tracy,

You were given a refund because you contacted us saying that the package had not
arrived to you in Malaysia. And, since you are an international client, we
typically have lost packages in transit, so we assumed that if a package does
not arrive within 3-4 weeks, odds are you will not receive it. No need to
repay, glad you received the products :)

It was indeed a nice gesture on their part not to require me to repay. I know it was only USD5.05 but it is still a great customer service practice and I wanted to commend them.
